Fire Fighter Examinations
(Interior and Exterior)

Healthworks-WNY will perform the fire fighter exam following all standards so that your fire fighters will be certified.  The exam includes the following services:

• Medical History

• Vital Signs - Height, Weight, Blood Pressure, Pulse, Respiration

• Physical Examination

• Pulmonary Function Test

• EKG - 12 Lead Electrocardiogram

• Complete Blood Count, Blood Chemistry

• Lipid Profile

• Hearing Conservation / Audiometry

• Visual Acuity and Peripheral Field Testing

• Fitness-for-Duty Statement issued to the Fire District

Additional Services include:

• Quantitative Respirator Fit Testing using a Portacount 8020

• An Immunization Program as provided for in National Fire Protection Association 1582

• Tuberculosis Testing Program

• Chest X-Ray Examinations

• Blood Borne Pathogens Training as required by OSHA

• Full-time Medical Director as directed in NFPA 1582

• Post Exposure Prophylaxis Program
