An electrocardiogram, abbreviated EKG or ECG, is a test that measures the electrical activity of the heart. An EKG can determine that a heart attack has occurred. An EKG can help predict if a heart attack is developing and monitors changes in heart rhythm. It is used as a screening tool to determine if a candidate is able to complete strenuous, physical activity. All EKG results are read immediately by our Medical Providers at the time of the examination and are sent to a cardiologist for further interpretation.
