Registered Nurse

Working in a clinical environment to provide quality and efficient Occupational Health services to our patients and client companies. Responsibilities include: - Assessment of patients: temperature, pulse, blood pressure, basic wound care, etc... - Perform tests: Drug Screens, Breath Alcohol, Hair Collections, HIV counseling, DOT Physicals, Vision, Pulmonary Function, Audio, Respirator FIT, EKG, Urinalysis, Phlebotomy & other specialized client protocols - Administer injections or medications under the direction of attending provider - Assist medical providers - Document patient histories - Charting & data entry - After hours services to client companies using skills outlined above Candidate must possess the following skills: - good nursing judgement - excellent multi-tasker - responsible - good written & verbal communication skills - good organizational skills with a focus to detail - ability to work & get along with others - positive attitude - ability to follow orders - computer skills Experience & Education required: - NYS Registered Nurse Degree - Medical Terminology certificate - NYS Infection control certificate - Certifications in: HIV counselor certification, - Continuing education is also required.

Responsibilities include: - Perform physical exams and assessments of patients including injury care - Perform DOT Physicals & necessary paperwork - Perform and order tests as needed based on physical findings - Define and document diagnosis - Determine fitness capabilities in relation to job duties - Refer patients to health care specialists - Suturing and other injury related procedures - Interpret x-ray & other diagnostic results - electronic form completion - charting Candidate must possess the following skills: - good medical judgement - excellent multi-tasker - ability to work & get along with others - responsible - good written & verbal communication skills - good organizational skills with a focus to detail - positive attitude - ability to follow orders - computer skills Experience & Education required: - graduate from and possess degree from accredited PA Program - current NYS license - current medical malpractice insurance policy

Responsibilities include: - register patients in system - discharge patients - schedule appointments for all 3 clinics - answer phones and assist client companies & patients - billing, which does not include 3rd party private pay insurance - chart filing - obtain authorization from companies for patient services - develop & maintain relationships with client companies - next day chart preparation - assist in tasks other than those listed above when needed Candidate must possess the following skills: - excellent multi-tasker - responsible - good organizational skills with a focus to detail - good communication skills - ability to work & get along with others - positive attitude - ability to follow orders - computer skills - proficient use of phone, copier, fax & credit card system Experience & Education required: - high school diploma or some college - familiarity with medical terminology - occupational health experience.
